January 22, 2019 marks the 27th anniversary of Dr. Roberta Bondar's launch into space aboard the space shuttle Discovery. Dr. Bondar made history as the world's first neurologist in space and Canada's first female astronaut. During her time in space Dr. Bondar conducted over forty advanced scientific experiments in the first international microgravity laboratory.
To celebrate this remarkable anniversary Dr. Bondar conducted an in-flight interview between herself on the ground and David Saint-Jacques in the Space Station, broadcasted by the Canadian Space Agency via NASA.
