Pride of Canada Carousel by Patrick Amiot: Public Opening on Canada Day

Spurred on by the success of his work in Canada and the United States along with the enthusiasm of his Sonoma County residence, Patrick Amiot has demonstrated a determination to go bigger and wilder with each new challenge.

Loch Gallery is proud to announce the official opening of Patrick Amiot’s latest creation, The Pride of Canada Carousel, a 50-foot, one-of-a-kind carousel featuring 44 rideable sculptures.

Canada Day celebrants will take free fantastical rides on the sculpture characters including a beaver, a bumblebee, a massive moose, a mermaid, a Canadian Mountie and more, all made from repurposed materials forming ingenious works of art.

The Pride of Canada Carousel is many things—a whimsical piece of kinetic art, engineering in motion, a joyful lifestyle connection to tradition, and a bucket list destination for globetrotters who seek an old-fashioned ride on a 21st century carousel.

On behalf of all of us at the gallery, congratulations to Patrick for his larger-than-life success.

Happy Canada Day!
