Loch Gallery is delighted to announce the launch of the 40-year retrospective exhibition of nationally recognized Regina artist, David Thauberger. Co-organized by the Mendel Art Gallery and the MacKenzie Art Gallery, the show explores how the idea of place has shaped Thauberger's work.
David Thauberger has a keen eye for popular and Prairie idioms and an encyclopedic knowledge of 20th-century art. Comprising more than 70 paintings, prints and ceramics, from public and private collections across Canada, Road Trips and Other Diversions provides the first comprehensive overview of the career of this remarkable Canadian artist. The Thauberger retrospective includes a Canadian tour, documentary film, and major publication. The exhibition is co-curated by Sandra Fraser and Timothy Long. The first such collaboration for the two galleries, the project is funded in part by the Museums Assistance Program at Canadian Heritage.
