Habiter le hasard is an overview of reflections pursued by Jacques Payette. The human experience of life, the knowledge of the other, the act of painting, are all dealt with through the symbols displayed in his works, notably through his famous corseted clothing. The artist is a master of the encaustic technique (pigments and hot wax). Jacques Payette presents a dialogue between the creative spirit and constraints such as the pictorial matter and life itself.
